I am particularly interested in children's nutrition and wellbeing. This is partly because I am a mum but also because I see the huge influence our society has on children's diet.
I think that most parents try their best to give their children good food but there are lots of factors that can sometimes make this difficult. One of these factors is the constant changing advice. I have found this very stressful myself at times. I remember advice on what to eat literally changing half way through my pregnancy and at times feeling that nothing was safe to eat. I don't profess at all to be an expert on this or have all the answers but I hope that I can provide some helpful information on this blog over the coming months. I have particular empathy for those with fussy eaters to deal with as I know what an almighty stressful nightmare that can be!
My own child is not on a Paleo diet as such but this may well be the way I will go in the near future. He has had some gut issues that are currently being addressed by following a gluten free and dairy free diet as he is intolerant to both. I am also trying to keep him on a low sugar diet and this is far from easy. I am therefore constantly looking for good ideas and recipes to feed a fussy child who has to eat healthily so I will share my hard earned experiences here!
