Hello,
I am a Health Educator and Researcher in Scotland, with a life long interest in food and health. I know from my own life how much food affects our health, well-being and mood and it can take a real change to our diet before we realise just how much our food influences us in that way.
I have been gluten free for five years but changing to a Paleo diet last year made a huge change to how I feel and to my understanding of nutrition.
The Paleo Diet is still not that well known in Scotland and I have set up this blog to provide information to anybody interested in following this way of eating. Whilst this blog has a Scottish focus it really it is for anybody who just wants to eat good, fresh food!
I know from my own experience how difficult it can be to eat healthily, especially when you live in a culture of highly addictive foods everywhere you turn. It is also incredibly easy to feel overloaded by the unbelievable amount of conflicting advice out there. I have a huge amount of empathy for anybody struggling to eat well. I have had to learn to take a very pragmatic and simple approach to my own diet and health and I hope this can help you too
Carolyn
Disclaimer: Please note that I am not a professionally qualified Doctor, Dietician or Nutritionist. The information on my blog is based only on my own research and experiences of following a Paleo Diet. If you are interested in changing your diet I would highly recommend doing so under the care of a qualified Health Professional. I firmly believe that there is not one diet that suits everybody.
